ggrrrrrrrrr............ my grandad is burmese and his family moved to india when he was an infant to be in a democratic country and now he is making me take part in a end- military rule and freedom of speech stuff in burma parade in the city adn i dont wanna becoz- 1)im scared of doing things in public(severe stage fright) 2)i dont care much bout military rule in burma despite me being 1/4 burmese. 3)my g-dad only spend $50 on my birthday prezzie this year and normally he spends like $150 4) i have relatives in burma and they dont mid te military rule there how can i persuade him that i dotn wanna do it should i use reverse physcology. normally he is really unstrict n kind but recently hes realy bugging me.of late he has been threatneing to hit me and stuff which he has never done before. my whole family has to do it and the rest of the family has agreed. btw we dont live in india anymore(i have lived in 6 difeerent countries in diff parts of world)i dont wanna get hit or doithelp

You certainly sound like someone who would not worry about hurting poor grandpa. I think you are simply worried about a butt whippin. I dont know why grandpa still bothers with such a loathsome grandson. Your issue number 3 is very telling about what kind of a character you are. Just be yourself, and your grandfather will come to the conclusion that the Burmese would not benefit from the likes of you...well actuallly the present regime would, but the regime your grandfather craves just isnt your style.

For one number 3 is not a reason not to do it. So he spent $50.00 instead of $150.00 That reason is selfish on your part at least he got you something. For two you should want to do it cause he is your grandfather and he is wanting you to be a part of something he cares about and he is trying to get you involved and be a part of his world. In his way he is trying to teach you something. Yes it is wrong for him to say he is going to hit you but, you better think of better reasons then you have said to convince him why you don't want to do it. Cause the ones you stated to him aren't good enough.
