So, I was reading the news lately and that the issue in Myanmar always shows up on the frontpage of different websites. I feel sorry for the people of Myanmar (monks, nuns and civilians). They're just expressing themselves peacefully and why is that the government always have to use force to these people to control their lives? The government is so greedy of the power and abusing it too much! So, I need your opinion about this issue. What should the ASEAN (Association of South East Asia Nation) and UN (United Nation) should do to stop this tyranny and oppression and help the people of Myanmar to have a freedom of speech and live their lives normally?

Not only ASEAN and UN but also all the world must discontinue diplomatic connection with Myanmar. Stop supporting of Military Government who use troops which was bought by tax from the people in Myanmar. Force to close diplomatic stations all over the world and take an action as terrorist. Arrest the worst terrorist Senior General Than Shwe and his followers. Save 50 Millions people in Myanmar.

You are right in stating the true facts in your question. ASEAN, UN , UK , US has done nothing but harm to us for the past tow decades by their actions or non actions. Some thing is wrong very much some where. Burma can not be left like this nor be boycott. May be China can influence them. Engagement is better than isolation. Please send books for libraries for people to be educated if you do not want to help the military government. people are very naive and ignorant there including the generals. Microcredit and medicines needed. UN staff are not effective in helping the country. Go to Burma and meet and help the people inside. Do not leave them alone.

This is a very interesting question. ASEAN can do alot to make changes in Burma. It can politically as well as economically pressure Burma. e.g. to remove from ASEAN or impose economics sanction just to name a few. However, ASEAN will not do anything but just watch as they will never touch internal affair of another member nation. Hopeless from ASEAN!!! UN can do way more than we can think of. But as long as Russia and China is still standing for Burma, UN or UN security Council is powerless...just like a tiger without teeth. Hopefully they can send peacekeepers to Burma is situation is getting worse. But we need to evidence of such situation. Anyhow, the best way is to get target to China and to block OLYMPICS IN THEIR COUNTRY if they don't reconsider their stand wisely.

the problem here is "no one really want to help" them i can see only those leader talking and talking this is not the first time for people of Myanmar on bloodbath and i bet the Myanmar gov will get aways with this again. last time some 3000 life were loosed and i have seen no one help them. how many will loose their life this time? i don't know but i know that no one will help them. UN? give me a brake! here is the place to get what the 5 supper power want, not a place for some 3rd world unknow country. USA n UK ? humm... myanmar got oil? if not, get loose! ASEAN? they never help out each other more than talking. china n russian? no way, we earn a lot of money from them. Europe or japan? US and UK won't move we won't either. now i see how it will end.
