it's a bit long but please hear me out ... Neoconservatism is simply an ideoloy wich supports using American economic and military power to bring liberalism, democracy, and human rights to other countries ... in its beginnings , neoconservatism was considered a leftist ideology , The forerunners of neoconservatism were most often socialists or sometimes liberals who strongly supported the Allied cause in World War II, and who were influenced by the Great Depression-era ideas of the New Deal, trade unionism, and Trotskyism the father of modern neoconservatism is considered to be senator Henry M. Jackson (D)...For decades, Democrats who supported a strong international presence for the United States have been called "Scoop Jackson Democrats", the term even being used to describe contemporary Democrats such as Joe Lieberman henry jackson also had great influence on guys like Paul Wolfowitz, Doug Feith and Richard Perle ( the left now labels them as criminals ) these 3 supported sen jackson during his 1972 and 1976 campaigns for president , ironically... jackson also had the support of Marxist theorist Max Shachtman, an associate of Leon Trotsky and that's understandable because neoconseratives are considered left-leaning when it comes to the economy P.S ; i'm not defending them , i just wanted to point out that it's not such a horrile ideolegy ,...espacially for the left because of their similarities when it comes to economical issues have a look at the world , you'll see that the people in most arab countries , iran , north korea , myanmar ...etc all live under savage dictatorships and i don't beleive that the idea of liberating them and introducing them to democracy sounds so horrible to you ... bush and his buddies misused neoconservatism and got us in an unnecessary proxy war for the interests of certain groups ( other than the american people ) but that doesn't mean that the noble cause of neoconservatism should be abandoned... are you with me or not ?

Socially Conservative + Fiscally Liberal = DOOM. Seriously, how can anybody on board with restriction of social freedoms, yet is loose with our money?
