Do you sometimes feel like you are living in a foreign country such as Bangladesh instead of being in Malaysia

Do you sometimes feel like you are living in a foreign country such as Bangladesh instead of being in Malaysia?
Or...Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal? Our local wet market here seems to belong to Vietnam? This is just a ''fun'' question so please do not give me any racist remarks, thanks~ >>eagerbeaver....I mean my local wet market, not all wet markets... >>Veritas, I certainly agree with you.

like it or not the whole world is slowly merging together (mainly due to greedy bosses wanting cheap labour) west malaysia has cheap labour from vietnam, burma etc east malaysia has indonesians, filipinos etc america has mexicans, indians etc uk has polish, bangladeshis etc so to answer your question, yes, when I'm in west malaysia I feel like I could be in any part of south east asia...!

Not those places, maybe places like Australia or America because they have all the ingredients in my cookbook that is sooooo hard to find here. In fact, they even have it fresh from the garden! Although, I would definitely miss Malaysia if i do. Oh well........

Not all our wet market are overwhelm with foreigners so I don't thing what you said is apt. If you visit ethnic enclaves anywhere you are bound to feel that way.

That's about the same complaint they have in Sydney, Vancouver, London, Paris, Nice, Athens, Rome ... All the 3rd world citizens are trending up, Malaysians too are doing the same. It is spelling the end of national identities for many countries.
