Can someone correct my research paper

Can someone correct my research paper?
The tiger is the largest of all the cat family and it is said to be the most fearsome predator in our time. An adult tiger can weigh anywhere from 350 to 550 pounds. The average weight of a male tiger is 480 while the females weigh about 300. You can expect to see a tiger that’s between 6 and 9 feet long (body lengths). A Bengal tiger is known for its eyes that seem to stare at you as if you were its prey. Their coat has the color of a reddish tan with white undertones and black stripes which run down its body. The Bengal tiger's claws are used to grip prey and scratch trees. They retract when the tiger walks to remain sharp and allow it to stalk prey silently. Its long teeth are used to stab and kill its prey. Two hundred years ago, all eight races of tigers had large and a genetically healthy population throughout Asia. The Bengal tiger is one of six sub-species of the tiger. There are five other species including the Amur, Indochinese, Malayan, South China, and Sumatran. Three tiger sub-species have become extinct in the past 70 years due to the actions of the human race, the Bali, Gavan, and Caspian. Each tiger sub-species are threatened due to poaching and habitat loss almost every year. The Bengal tiger is found throughout Asia but mostly found in the following locations; Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, and Nepal. Although the Bengal tiger is an endangered species, it is also the most common tiger with an approximate 3,000 to 5,000 Bengal tigers (roughly 330 of these tigers are held in captivity), this is a remarkable decrease from 100,000 tigers just a century ago. The Bengal tiger is adaptable to its environment. An excellent swimmer, the tiger is also the most water-loving of all the big cats. It can often be found near rivers and shady ponds. The tiger occupies a home range that is dense in vegetation. A large range allows the tiger to find plenty of food. The Bengal tiger is a carnivorous animal. When food is needed or wanted the tiger attacks a variety of prey, this includes: deer, wild pigs, young buffalo, young elephants, and cattle in general. If the tiger is driven by hunger it will eat almost anything like fish, crocodiles, lizards, frogs, fowl, and carrion. When a tiger is old, sick, or injured and is unable to hunt, is when they turn into a man-eater. When the tiger locates its target, it slowly and silently begins its approach, when near the prey, it will charge for its kill. Bengal tigers prefer to hunt at night, but due to very tall grasses and their excellent camouflage from their stripes they are able to hunt in the daytime as well. Bengal tigers are incredibly strong and are able to drag their prey almost half a mile even though the prey may be heavier than itself. A Bengal tiger is usually seen alone, although tiger couples have been seen, however a family group commonly consists of a mother and her cubs that live with her for around two years. The ones who fight over territory are usually the male tigers. When they mark their territory, they urinate and spray scent from a gland. In the wild, tigers live from 8-15 years. In zoos, tigers have been seen living up to 26 years. These tigers are extremely good tree climbers and are also good swimmers. In fact, they swim a lot to attack their prey, which are drinking or swimming or trying to escape. Status The Bengal tiger is an endangered species but also the most common subspecies of tigers. During the 20th century, all eight tiger species lived but over time, three became extinct (Caspian, Bali, and Javan) and now remains only five. Hunting and habitat loss over the last one hundred years have brought numbers down from hundreds of thousands to fewer than 5000 perhaps. Tigers are hunted as trophies and also for body parts used for the traditional Chinese medicine. All five remaining tiger sub-species have become endangered over time due to the human races carless actions. As technology evolves, the human population expands, demands of products grow, and human dominion expands as well, the habitat world has lessened and will continue to decrease. We people have to understand that the human race is destroying nature and species that live in it; we, the people are the major cause of numerous endangered/extinct animals including the Bengal tiger.

Overall it looks like a pretty good answer to me! There are just a couple of points that I think you may need to review. Firstly the number of Bengal Tigers that you state remain in the wild (3,000 - 5,000) looks on the high side to me. The latest view that I am aware of is that the total wild tiger population may be as low as 3,500 - with around 2,000 of those being Bengal Tigers. I would say that the part about turning into a man eater could read that they are more likely to turn into man eaters when they are old, sick or injured rather than that they definitely will. One final point that I would make is that some of your sentences are very short. It may just be worth having a final read through and seeing what sentences can be linked together to make it flow just a little better. I hope that my answer has been of some help. You may also find some more useful information on tigers at my website. http://www.bigcatphotography.org

Help please.. I need helpful websites to do my paper

Help please.. I need helpful websites to do my paper?
Im looking for helpful sites with alot of information for my paper. I'm am stuck on this and it's due soon. My paper will be on afghanistan but here is exactly what i need. THANKS “Doing Sociology” Assignment 2 Due: April 22, 2011 – before 11 p.m. In trying to understand inequality, sociologists focus our attention on the concept of life chances. This is a term first used by Max Weber to describe the opportunities to achieve economic prosperity in life; our life chances differ considerably depending not only on the family into which we are born, but also the country in which our family resides. In this assignment you will be researching not only what it means to live in another nation, but also what broad factors influence what your life chances will be. Because we did not cover the topic of global inequality, this second writing assignment will give you an opportunity to look more deeply into the subject. As you have learned, individuals and groups are ranked in a system of stratification reflecting their unequal access to and possession of resources within society. The same ranking can be applied to the nations of the world. A widely used framework for ranking countries is the World Bank classification of nations; it designates four clusters of nations according to the per-person gross national income (GNI); the GNI is derived by taking the total value of a nation's annual output of goods and services and dividing it by the total population. Here are the categories: •High income nations: A GNI of $12,196 or more. In 2009 there were 69 nations that fell within this category. •Upper middle income nations: A GNI of between $3,946 and $12,195. In 2009 there were 48 nations included in this category. •Lower middle income nations: A GNI of between $996 and 3,945. In 2009 there were 56 nations in this category. •Low income nations: A GNI of $995 or less. In 2009 there were 40 nations in this category. The focus of the assignment is on what your life chances would be if you were growing up in a country that is classified as a “low-income” nation as opposed to growing up/living in the U.S. Your first step is to pick a nation to research. In 2009 the World Bank lists the following as low income nations: Afghanistan Guinea Nepal Bangladesh Guinea-Bisau Niger Benin Haiti Rwanda Burkina Faso Kenya Sierra Leone Burundi Korea, Dem Rep. Solomon Islands Cambodia Kyrgyz Republic Somalia Central African Republic Lao PDR Tajikistan Chad Liberia Tanzania Comoros Madagascar Togo Congo, Dem. Rep Malawi Uganda Eritrea Mali Zambia Ethiopia Mauritania Zimbabwe Gambia, The Mozambique Ghana Myanmar You are going to pick one of these nations and then carry out research about the living conditions and the opportunities individuals have to achieve economic prosperity in life. In your research you should consider issues like opportunities for education and levels of literacy, opportunities to participate in the political sector (both in terms of voting and holding office), opportunities for employment and typical wages, the type of family structure and marriage patterns that are common, the overall level of health and access to health care, life expectancy, and issues of hunger and malnutrition. One of the challenges of writing about life in another country, especially a country that does not have the level of wealth as the U.S., is that we have a tendency to be ethnocentric. I want you to try and avoid that by looking at life from the perspective of an insider. I am not looking for you to compare and contrast what life is like in this country relative to the U.S. Rather, what I want you to present is a solid description of what a person’s life chances are and then provide some discussion of why they have those particular life chances. To illustrate what I mean, if you are a female and writing about Afghanistan, you will likely find out that only 30% of the girls attend school. Given this, you would conclude that with respect to opportunities for an education, the typical girl is not likely to receive much formal education. You would then go on to talk about why girls are less likely to be educated; it could be tied to traditional gender roles and the expectation that a girl will marry young and bear many children or the policies of the Taliban governments. Your paper should be about 5 pages in length. It should include: •an introduction, a multiple-paragraphed body, and a conclusion. •a clear thesis statement that will tell the reader what the focus of the paper will be. When you introduce the thesis you should also provide some initial statement of what main points you will present to support the thesis. •Credible evidence that provides strong development for each of your main points and that cumulatively supports the thesis. •In-text references for facts, opinions, and research that is taken from other sources. •A full work cited page that includes at least three different crediable so

Burma is second only to North Korea as being the worse place on the planet to live. The people are fine, but the government is one of the worst. Nothing like Thailand. The fact that you used "Burma" over it's current name says something...I'd be scared to go there myself. Sorry.
2 :
Entry Requirements - Visa Requirements A visa is required to visit Burma. Visa on arrival was suspended from 1 September 2010. British nationals should apply for a visa in advance at the nearest Burmese embassy or Consulate before travelling. http://www.fco.gov.uk/content/en/contact/asia-oceana/dl-burma .. There are no direct flights from London to Rangoon. You will need to have at least one stop in Malaysia, Singapore, or Thailand. http://www.kayak.co.uk

Never been there but dream of this country and plan a trip to there... All ppl who have been there say it is perfectly safe. It's kind of a time machine - you go to 50's of the last century - no mobile connection, no internet, lousy roads, steam engine trains etc. But people are nice and Myanmar (Burma) has a reputaion of the SAFEST country in the South-Eastern Asia. NOTHING similar to Thailand. Once in a life experience. Places that are must-see: Bagan Temples and Shwedagon Temple in Yangon. Ngapali Beaches have a reputation of the best beaches in the region. Even if compared to Thailand. Military junta has nothing to do with tourists and is interested in tourism development. So feel safe. Burma used to issue visas on arrival between May and September 2010, I hope they will resume this practice soon after the election that has taken place 7th of November. Now you have to apply for visa and it normally takes 3-5 days. Then I will bring my family there for a week or two. Quite affordable and easy to do-it-yourself by the way.

These are really easy questions. Did you even look at your textbook? Yahoo Answers is about helping not cheating. For better results, just find the one or two questions you don't understand and ask what you don't understand about them. You just can't not know them all.
