Lesbian gay bisexual transgrendered: Have you ever visited burma, iran or barbados?
So tell me have you ever visited iran, burma,or barbados? Because I think that maybe if you gays saw how homosexuals have to live in foreign countries you wouldn't complain over little things like marriage do you realize that right now someone is being KILLED for being gay? On another side of the world mean while your fighting for something that a lot of straights don't even want anymore. You homosexuals are so selfish american homosexuals are self centered and whiny you only care about what happens to homosexuals in America but it doesn't matter what happens in other countries I guess some people are serving life sentences for being gay!!!!!! So before you start boohooing about how your the victim travel a little and be appreciative of the rights you do have.

I visited Iran when I was 7 and nothing happened.

Good point, Most gays do not even care about transgender or bisexual issues. They also do not care about black issues that black gays face. Yes, selfish is the word.
3 :
People are not killed in Barbados for being LGBT nor is anyone imprisoned. Please check your facts and stop spreading propoganda.

Isnt it crazy the cyclone that went through burma. And how our government is stupid enough not to warn them?? Sure their poor but they shouldnt have to have 100,000 dead and 40,00 missing
2 :
There IS NO BURMA. It's Myanmar. And the UN can't go into a country without that country's permission. It's a major part of a number if international treaties. If we invalidate international law, we open up another completely different can of worms. An individual country might be able to do something, but it would probably be taken as a violation of Myanmar's sovereignty and potentially as an act of war. As I said on your other question, war doesn't really help any babies.
3 :
why don't you go.............get shot by the gov't or if you want America to go,,,,,Join the Marines so you can risk your life for people who hate you..............

The concerns are very understandable, yet there are definite reasons that do explain. Such as, if one is willing to help they must do so by the direction/order of those they want to help...or it is then not seen as help. It seems logical to go into Burma and immediately assist, however reality differs and Iraq can hardly be compared. Completely different situation. I live in Southeast Asia, my best friend is from Burma, and Burma is as though a second home in my heart, however...I do understand and find your logic beautiful....reality on the other-hand is not always as beautiful. Once permission is given...most certainly help will be given. Until then there are many who want to help and are ready. If permission is not given, then it may be best to have faith in those that can and will at very least try to help themselves. That is beautiful as well. Consider: East and West...thought process may differ. One thought may be the same, yet it is viewed and processed differently...there must be a common ground...and that will be an invitation. : ) Imagine: You have a friend and they don't invite you over...yet you go over to thier home to help them...they don't want your help...what may happen to the immediate relationship if just bursting in? Certainly in the long run it may be most beneficial...however, this example is a small scale example...and this question is concerning countries..governments....and sadly not only about the innocent/people....and though people govern such, it becomes a unit. This is a country concern, which is a world concern, therefore, the country and countries must be respected....WE MUST WAIT, AND REMAIN WILLING. : ) BEAUTIFUL QUESTION AND BEAUTIFUL CONCERN.
5 :
The thing is sandy they are not allowed ,by going in without sanction would only make things worse, but i do feel for you IRAQ was a different situation that was a tyrant killing people at will
6 :
The UN did not decide to invade Iraq. The US and some allies went to war with Iraq in spite of not having followed proper UN procedures. And huh... looks like they're considering ignoring the "permission" thing again, if you believe this article: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/05/08/us.myanmar/index.html#cnnSTCText
7 :
You first!
8 :
We should, the whole world would not bat an eye if an international force went in a and killed all the generals there. But its a humanitarian issue not a millitary one. Still it would make sense. Send Rambo in. Anything. Its about time that the international community just decide to wipe out regimes like this. There is nothing to stop them.

Several years ago some Burmese refugees settled in Fort Wayne. Since then, many more Burmese refugees have followed them. Because there are other Burmese already there, the newcomers do not need to speak English when they first arrive. See article below. They are coming to the USA for the same reason many people have come to the USA, to seek a better life than they can have in their home country.

Nothing compared to the natural disasters of the past. Do your homework.
2 :
Christians always think they are living in the end times
3 :
No the end times won't start until after the rapture of the church. We're still living in Pre-Tribulation time. Of course all signs point to the return of Jesus for His bride very soon.
4 :
Yes, I think it is possible.
5 :
Whenever something happens, the fundamentalists blame it on the "end times." The idea of the "end times" was invented only a few hundred years ago. The real ideas behind the book of "revelations" have nothing to do with what some Christians believe to be the end of the world. Disasters happen. Let's help people and move on.
6 :
end times or end of days is an astrological thing. we are in the age of the fish right now. we are moving into Aquarius. the fish age (Jesus/Pisces) is coming to a close and the age of Aquarius is ramping up. They sang about it 30-40 years ago. "The age of Aquarius" (by The 5th dimensions) That is all that it is. no rapture, end of the world or anything. Just a change of astrological signs.
7 :
Apparently. Remember the wise men that went to see Jesus when he was born? They were "wise" because they realized that when the signs in the scriptures came to pass, the birth of Christ was at hand. Thus, when the events mentioned in the bible, particularly in Revelations, come to pass (as you have mentioned) the "wise" realize that Christ's comming is close at hand. Also, the Bible sais that in the end times the people be as they were in the times of Noah...no one listened to him about the flood....and I see that happening today...just turn on the tv and see all the rubbish that people are doing...it is as if they dont care what happens to themselves...
8 :
I doubt it. Throughout the New Testament the end times began with Jesus' incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension. We're still in them. Paul consistently refers to the church age as the end times, and it's not because he thought he'd be raptured at any minute. He spoke as if Jesus might return, judge, and restore all things within his lifetime, and he spoke at other times (even earlier times, as it happens) as if it might be a long time, and people like him would die before it takes place. There's a new element of what goes on in the church age, and that's the presence of God's people as a non-nation but what we would call a countercultural working out of the rule of God (what "kingdom of God" literally means) in the ordinary life that goes on. In these end times, those in Christ, i.e. in the community of faith who have God's Spirit dwelling in them both collectively and individually, can detect the evil in humanity and the groaning of all creation for restoration. Second, the approaching of the end of the end times, i.e. the end of the church age, will be life as normal. Two characteristics of life as normal are given. One is eating, drinking, and making merry. Just as in Noah's time, people thought it was life as normal and made fun of this guy building a boat, non-Christians will consider Christians crazy and believing an illusion, but judgment will come when life as normal gets interrupted suddenly and without warning by the return of the ultimate judge of all humanity. People will be eating, drinking, and being merry. That's normal life. Alongside the evidence of normal life of human behavior is the normal functioning of the fallen world. It will be life as normal. People will engage in wars, and there will be rumors of wars that may not in fact happen. There will be earthquakes and other natural disasters. This is life as usual in the end times, but it's not necessarily a sign that we're even within thousands of years of the return of Christ. We might be, but a close concentration of natural disasters means life is going on as normal. The fallen world is being a fallen world. Since this is held in parallel with the eating, drinking, and being merry it's probably that it's not speaking of a specially concentrated set of natural disasters as a lead-in to the end of the end. It's just giving another example of what things are like in these last days that we're already about two thousand years into. Third, there are connections between the judgment of God and natural disasters, but we may not know for sure how God might be working through any given event with our limited knowledge, and there's no reason to think that a particular concentration of natural disasters is anything special even if it were true that there is a greater concentration of natural disasters rather than just an overworked media network that now simply reports on these things far more than it did. We all thought there were more shark attacks for some unexplained reason a year or two ago, but it wasn't anything like that. The media had just found a new thing to fill their 24-hour coverage with, and it all of a sudden seemed drastic, when that was a pretty normal year. Given the cyclic nature of hurricanes, with low cycles and high cycles, we have no reason to conclude anything special is going on at all. Now there might be other reasons why today's world could be the state of the end times: 4% of our generation is Christian, children have a lack of respect torwards their parents; ect. i hope this helps you.
