The tiger is the largest of all the cat family and it is said to be the most fearsome predator in our time. An adult tiger can weigh anywhere from 350 to 550 pounds. The average weight of a male tiger is 480 while the females weigh about 300. You can expect to see a tiger that̢۪s between 6 and 9 feet long (body lengths). A Bengal tiger is known for its eyes that seem to stare at you as if you were its prey. Their coat has the color of a reddish tan with white undertones and black stripes which run down its body. The Bengal tiger's claws are used to grip prey and scratch trees. They retract when the tiger walks to remain sharp and allow it to stalk prey silently. Its long teeth are used to stab and kill its prey. Two hundred years ago, all eight races of tigers had large and a genetically healthy population throughout Asia. The Bengal tiger is one of six sub-species of the tiger. There are five other species including the Amur, Indochinese, Malayan, South China, and Sumatran. Three tiger sub-species have become extinct in the past 70 years due to the actions of the human race, the Bali, Gavan, and Caspian. Each tiger sub-species are threatened due to poaching and habitat loss almost every year. The Bengal tiger is found throughout Asia but mostly found in the following locations; Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, and Nepal. Although the Bengal tiger is an endangered species, it is also the most common tiger with an approximate 3,000 to 5,000 Bengal tigers (roughly 330 of these tigers are held in captivity), this is a remarkable decrease from 100,000 tigers just a century ago. The Bengal tiger is adaptable to its environment. An excellent swimmer, the tiger is also the most water-loving of all the big cats. It can often be found near rivers and shady ponds. The tiger occupies a home range that is dense in vegetation. A large range allows the tiger to find plenty of food. The Bengal tiger is a carnivorous animal. When food is needed or wanted the tiger attacks a variety of prey, this includes: deer, wild pigs, young buffalo, young elephants, and cattle in general. If the tiger is driven by hunger it will eat almost anything like fish, crocodiles, lizards, frogs, fowl, and carrion. When a tiger is old, sick, or injured and is unable to hunt, is when they turn into a man-eater. When the tiger locates its target, it slowly and silently begins its approach, when near the prey, it will charge for its kill. Bengal tigers prefer to hunt at night, but due to very tall grasses and their excellent camouflage from their stripes they are able to hunt in the daytime as well. Bengal tigers are incredibly strong and are able to drag their prey almost half a mile even though the prey may be heavier than itself. A Bengal tiger is usually seen alone, although tiger couples have been seen, however a family group commonly consists of a mother and her cubs that live with her for around two years. The ones who fight over territory are usually the male tigers. When they mark their territory, they urinate and spray scent from a gland. In the wild, tigers live from 8-15 years. In zoos, tigers have been seen living up to 26 years. These tigers are extremely good tree climbers and are also good swimmers. In fact, they swim a lot to attack their prey, which are drinking or swimming or trying to escape. Status The Bengal tiger is an endangered species but also the most common subspecies of tigers. During the 20th century, all eight tiger species lived but over time, three became extinct (Caspian, Bali, and Javan) and now remains only five. Hunting and habitat loss over the last one hundred years have brought numbers down from hundreds of thousands to fewer than 5000 perhaps. Tigers are hunted as trophies and also for body parts used for the traditional Chinese medicine. All five remaining tiger sub-species have become endangered over time due to the human races carless actions. As technology evolves, the human population expands, demands of products grow, and human dominion expands as well, the habitat world has lessened and will continue to decrease. We people have to understand that the human race is destroying nature and species that live in it; we, the people are the major cause of numerous endangered/extinct animals including the Bengal tiger.

Overall it looks like a pretty good answer to me! There are just a couple of points that I think you may need to review. Firstly the number of Bengal Tigers that you state remain in the wild (3,000 - 5,000) looks on the high side to me. The latest view that I am aware of is that the total wild tiger population may be as low as 3,500 - with around 2,000 of those being Bengal Tigers. I would say that the part about turning into a man eater could read that they are more likely to turn into man eaters when they are old, sick or injured rather than that they definitely will. One final point that I would make is that some of your sentences are very short. It may just be worth having a final read through and seeing what sentences can be linked together to make it flow just a little better. I hope that my answer has been of some help.
