Are their English teaching opportunities in Myanmar

Are their English teaching opportunities in Myanmar?
I am considering Myanmar or Thailand. I've heard just being an American in Thailand I can make money to offset my cost of living teaching English, that English teachers are very much in demand. Is it the same in Myanmar? I know the country is more poor than Thailand, so I'd expect less, but, are there opportunities like that available? Ha, maybe there are no English teaching posts available to Americans who mix up "their" and "there!" I'm an idiot, I guess I don't deserve an actual answer.

i know you can find teaching positions in Thailand if your qualify, however why would you ever want to go to Myanmar for a job.

Myanmar is full of locals who speak English perfectly. They will work for 1 dollar a day teaching. If you wanna undercut them, well, good luck. There are many Burmese teaching English and other subjects in Thailand where they make 250 dollars a month.

I know many English teachers working happily in Thailand. Forget Myanmar. The first link below has the only job posting for Burma on eslcafe.com. Job postings on eslcafe.com by country. 41 Japan 27 Korea 27 Taiwan 18 Thailand 32 China In Japan, Korea and Taiwan you can make enough money to save, travel or live well, but not all 3. In Thailand and China you can make enough to live modestly. Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Indonesia have very small job markets for English teachers. Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Brunei, Singapore, Bangladesh & Philippines are all former British or American territories. They have large English speaking populations and also export English teachers.
