It is all so subjective. We are all racially mixed, although a few of us with ancestors confined to a small out of the way location (e,g. Iceland) may be somewhat less mixed than others. When I have to state my own race or ethnicity, e.g. on an official form, I normally refuse as I hold racial identity to be purely "in the eye of the beholder." If my ethnicity is so important, then look at me and make YOUR mind up, since that is all my racial identity will be, something in YOUR mind. In the mind of someone else making different assumptions and having a different racial, cultural or national background, it is likely to be something else. What I myself might think about my race is totally irrelevant: it is solely a question of what impression I make on others that matters. Those whom the KKK lynched or the Nazis sent to the gas chambers did not volunteer, but had their fatal racial identity as Blacks, Gypsies, Jews or what have you, chosen for them by others. If you want to be (say) English, and can persuade others to accept you as such, then, for all intents and purposes, English is what you will be. You may similarly become Burmese, or Scandinavian, or Welsh, just as long as you can persuade other people to believe you are. If their diagnosis is based just on your taste for music, then more fool they! But it will still be their choice and decision, which, unless you are deliberately perverse, you will just have to go along with.

mixed race generally refers to eurasians. What you look like is not too important. Listening to asian music has nothing to do with your race, neither does living like a certain type of people.you may be slightly mixed race, but very minimal. (:

no i'm mixed race.. quarter spanish italian and half japanese.. i wouldn't consider you mixed because everyones familys come from somewhere everybody could claim being mixed but then it just gets stupid you have to draw some common sence lines.. you don't go through the same experiences we do but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy asian music or whatever if you don't want to be labeled white or caucasian then don't but.. mixed.. no not really
